Zurich International Airport is conveniently at the centre of Switzerland's road network with great connections to cities, including Zurich, Bern, Basel and St. Gallen on the A20. It is a mere 12 km. north of central Zurich.

Terminals and facilities at Zurich International

Two terminals, connected internally on three levels, handle all the air traffic at Zurich airport.

Facilities at Zurich airport are first-class. Banks, which also provide bureau de change services, are readily available in both terminals. A lost property office which deals with Swiss enquiries, and a porter service is available. Trolleys are provided for free. The left-luggage desk is in Terminal 1 Arrivals. The airport also has a medical and dental center, a post office, lockers, pharmacies, prayer rooms, and nurseries.

Shops, including duty-free, are scattered about the terminals. The Airport Shopping Centre is one level above check-in area 3.

Business travelers will be happy to know that the Unique Conference Centre at the airport has a multitude of facilities to cater to them. It has 36 rooms of varying size accommodating up to 120 delegates, and facilities for business seminars, meetings and conferences. The conference centre reception desk has a fax machine, photocopier, telephone booths, shredder, secretarial services, interpreting services, and flight and hotel reservations. There are also nine FASTpoint terminals providing telephone, fax, and photocopying facilities. Wireless Internet is also available. Transportation and parking at Zurich airport

The airport is well connected to Zurich. Swiss Federal Railways Station is located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. The bus terminal is located next to car park 2 to take you into the city.

Taxis can be found outside Terminals 1 and 2.

Three covered car parks next to the terminals and another car park a short distance away compose Zurich International's airport parking.
