Guide to Milan Malpensa Intercontinental Airport
Milan Malpensa airport is about 45 km northeast of Milan. It is a major gateway to Northern Italy and services flights to and from major US and European cities among other destinations.
Terminals and facilities at Milan airport
The airport has two terminals that are connected by a shuttle bus. Terminal 1 is called Malpensa Ovest, and Terminal 2 is Malpensa Nord.
Banks, ATMs, and currency exchange booths are located throughout all terminals. A left luggage office, which remains open 24/7, is situated in the Terminal 2 arrivals lounge. Sala Amica, the courtesy lounge in Terminal 1, provides toilets for people with mobility problems, while the hearing-impaired are provided with special telephones. Newspapers and magazines are provided in Braille for the blind.
Several shops are on offer at the airport including duty free, pharmacies, a beauty center, and travel agencies.
Eurochange runs a business center that offers workstations, fax, photocopier, personal computer, and mobile phone rental. Meeting rooms and catering for up to 14 people can be booked in advance. Further facilities are available in Club SEA lounges if you are a member. Internet access, telephones, magazines, and video stations with the latest stock exchange figures are all provided. Transportation and parking at Milan Malpanesa
The airport is connected to the city by both trains and buses. Trains operate from Terminal 1 to Milano Cadorna Station every 30 minutes. Buses connect both terminals with Milano Centrate Station every 20. The Malpensa Bus Express connects Terminal 1 with Milano Fiera Stazione Centrale Station.
Outside of arrivals, travelers can take a taxi into the city. The trip takes about an hour.
Short- and long-term airport parking at Milan airport is available close to Terminal 1. Long- and short-term parking close to Terminal 2 is also provided. Car hire at Malpensa airport
If you are coming to the airport by car, you may arrive at Teminal 1 via State road 336. One follows Autostrada dei Laghi (A8) and exits at the Busto Arsizio exit.
