Both train stations lie on the Merseyrail Northern Line serving regular trains to and from Southport, Liverpool and local stations. Airlink bus service 82A/B connects the airport with Runcorn train station every 30 minutes. Runcorn station is seven miles away and lies on the West Coast Main Line servicing trains to and from Crewe, Birmingham and London.
Along with serving Garston Station, Bus 80A also stops in Allerton, Mossley Hill, Toxteth, and Liverpool City Center. From Liverpool coach station on Norton St, you can catch coaches across the UK provided by the National Express Coach Service. There is also an express bus service, no. 500, running every 30 minutes from the airport to Chapel St, Norton St, Lime St, Queen Square Bus Station and Paradise St Bus Station.
