Logan International handles traffic for the whole state of New England. Many connections to and from Europe, Latin America and the Pacific also fly through this hub. Boston’s airport is America’s 19th busiest airport and is located in East Boston, about 20 minutes from the city.

Terminals and facilities at Logan International

Logan Airport has five terminals, each serving several airlines and numerous destinations. Terminals A and B provide mainly domestic flights, terminals C and E offer the majority of the airport’s international flight services, Terminal D is dedicated to chartered flights. Inter-terminal transfers can be made by free shuttle bus.

Fleet Bank is the main bank in the airport with ATMs in every terminal. Other ATMs can also be found on site, including American Express in Terminals A and B, Citizens Bank in Terminals C and E and East Boston Savings in Terminal C. Permanent bureaux de change are located in terminals 3 and 5, while mobile counters are available at international gates. There is a non-denominational chapel in the airport as well. The airport is designed well for disabled passengers, with shuttle buses fitted with special wheelchair lifts, and wheelchair accessible covered walkways.

Duty free shops are in terminals B, C and E. News and gift shops are in every terminal, and bigger shopping stores are in every terminal except D.

Transportation and parking at Boston Logan

The MBTA subway train, (known locally as the 'T'), operates from Airport Station on the Blue Line to South Station in downtown Boston. There is a free shuttle bus service between the Airport Station and all terminals. A free bus service, number 66, connects all terminals at Boston Logan to the Logan Water Shuttle Dock every ten minutes. From the dock, you can go to many different locations in the city. Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) also offers bus transportation to and from the airport.

Taxis are readily available at the airport and another option to get into Boston.

Car hire at Boston Logan International

Traveling from the airport by car, head for the Callahan Tunnel for destinations such as Boston City Centre, Massachusetts or Cape Cod. Once on Highway I-93 follow the signs to the airport.
